Sixth Graders Complete Aquarium Assignment
Posted on 01/13/2017
Students in Mrs. Dillon's Sixth Grade Math class completed an activity in which they designed an aquarium in the shape of a rectangular prism. Using the theme "School of Fish", students were given a list of requirements to include in their aquarium design. They were asked to incorporate two geometric solids in their creation.
In addition, students were asked to provide specific information about their aquarium, such as the total area of "glass" used for the sides and the amount of available space for a fish to swim.
